The Red Pyramid ending
***Book Spoilers***
The Kane family and Zia excluding their father make their way up to the entrance of the cave where they see droves of Sets followers protecting the pyramid. They attempt to make their way into the pyramid but alert the demon horde. Amos leaves himself behind and seals the tomb door to buy them necessary time. 

Carter, Sadie and Zia enter and immediately see a throne atop of a sarcophagus that holds their beloved father and last parent. They struggle in an effort to open and eventually give up. When their hope is bleak, their uncle Amos somehow manages to survive legions of demons and enters through the top quickly closing it behind him.
Zia is skeptical of him being alive, but the other two are content and suspect nothing is wrong. Moments later wisps of red smoke recede from his body and take the form of The Red god on his throne. Amos’s unconscious body slumps to the floor.
Set explains to them how he was able to capture the body of their uncle and possess it. He sheds light that Amos was the one who sabotaged the house in New York under Sets influence, and that he fought back at attempted to tell them he was possessed at the entrance to the cave by using chaos magic to reveal he was controlled by Set .
Carter and with the power of Horus grow enraged by Set tossing Amos’ body around. A fist slams into Set, sending him flying into a column. Set reveals that with the power of the pyramid, he will absorb all of his sibling’s power. Osiris in the body of their father locked in the sarcophagus, Horus in Carter, Isis in Sadie and Nephthys in Zia.
Set grabs Zia and is at first exuberant but these emotions of happiness fade to anger, as he realizes the goddess is not inside of Zia. Carter and Horus in perfect unison attack Set. He fights and gets the upper hand on his nemesis. Carter then turns set into a fruit bat using his mind. They break through the pyramid and emerge outside where Carter sees magicians fighting the demon droves of Sets army. The magicians become overwhelmed by the sheer number of their enemies and begin to lose their ranks and even a magician.
Carter tumbles down the side of the pyramid. Desjardins valiantly breaks through the horde but is knocked down the pyramid by Set as he is about to destroy the capstone, he is subsequently sent down into the pile of demons. Set stands triumphant as the sunrise is on the horizon. Sadie slams her staff onto the pyramid and utters an odd battle cry.
The POV changes from Carter to Sadie as she frantically tries to tend to both Amos and Zia who are in critical states after being wounded. Zia tells Sadie Set's secret name, that is the key to defeating him - Evil Day. Sadie is unsure how she knows this information then it hits her she was protected for this very reason because she knew this key info. Sadie has a vision a few seconds later as she touches the coffin. She is standing in the Land of the Dead in the Hall of Judgment.
Anubis is also there along with Ammit the Devourer. He tells her how the throne shouldn’t be empty and that the restoration of Ma’at must begin there. He fades away and is replaced by Bast as she stands next to the unoccupied throne of Osiris in the throne room of the gods.
Bast tells Sadie that they require a King, that the turmoil must end and that she shouldn’t let her have died for no purpose. She then sees Iskandar in the First Nome, also sitting next to an empty seat, as were the other two. Iskandar speaks to Sadie about how they alone, her and her brother must heal or destroy them. Sadie now is watching a couple at Cleopatra’s Needle in the dead of night. She notices it is her parents, her mom and dad. Sadie’s father asks her mother if she is sure of what she is about to attempt.
The obelisk glows with power and Sadie pulls away from the sarcophagus, the vision abruptly ceases. An image of her father appears, she yells at him for letting her mother do that. Sadie quickly apologizes. Julius explains how she was the first in a while trying to speak to Isis. He tells her it was against the House’s rules, but she disobeyed otherwise. He further explains how the chaos was rising and that to stand a chance they needed the release of the gods.
Julius also tells her that Carter and she are the strongest in their bloodline in three thousand years. She says she will break his bonds and free him from the confines of the sarcophagus. He knows however, that upon his release, the pyramid will drain him of his power, furthermore it will make Set stronger. With one last goodbye to her father she awakens from her state of trance.
The room is now shaking and cracks appear down the wall. She closes her eyes one last time and concentrates. She speaks to Isis and together with her power, they merge as one. She sees Isis doing through the ages and Ra’s downfall. The emotions Isis felt of bitterness and anger shows how she also feels. Sadie transforms into her animal form, and flies the peak of t pyramid. Sadie sees Set triumphant, enjoying his moment of victory.
Set's moment is short lived. Sadie creates a vortex that sucks the pyramid and them along with it. They now stand in Washington D.C at the Washington monument, the location where Ma’at was strongest. Set is infuriated and threatens Sadie.
Carter approaches from behind and slices Set in the ribcage. It knocks him down and Carter pursues right after him. Carter restrains Set, as Sadie begins the spell to defeat him. She speaks the Divine Words and says the secret name Evil Day. As Sadie is about to finish, she notices the chaos taking a form in the sky. It takes the form of a snake.
Only Sadie can see it though. In order to unmask it, she throws the feather of truth into the sky. It momentarily shows them all the snake. A voice comes from behind Sadie with a raised sword prepared to strike her down.
Before Face of Horror can Carter sword cuts through the sky and hits the demon. Face of Horror falls to his knees and gets on his back. An entirely different voice speaks through it and red smoke emerges from the gaping mouth of the demon.
Sadie tells the restrained Set that Apophis using Sets lieutenant took advantage of him as a means to achieve his goal - breaking free of his imprisonment. Sadie tells Set that now he must help them defeat Apophis since they now control him. She then unsummons him.
Amos awakens but is put back to sleep using a spell. Zia is however much worse off than their uncle. Her face is icy cold and stone like and with a tear, her entire skin hardens. Blue light comes from her mouth and flies into the sky. Sadie comforts her brother and explains that all along she was a shabti.
When the goddess joined with the actual Zia, Iskandar hid her on order to protect her. Desjardins steps forward angry with their decision to let the Red God walk free. He tells them he won’t allow Horus to take the throne. They take off their amulets and the gods leave them.
Carter and Sadie take their form of animals until they reach a train station from there they board the train and reach the house at sunset. They enter the house and are greeted by Khufu, who has prepared for their homecoming. Afterwards they begin the long process of cleaning, which takes several weeks to repair the damage dealt to the home.
One night, while they go about their usual business, a visitor comes identified by Carter’s sister is indeed Anubis. He escorts them to the Hall of Judgment, where they see their father sitting atop the throne. Sadie knows not if it is her father or the God of the Dead.
Julius explains that in death Osiris is much more powerful. They meet their mother and she is proud of what they accomplished. The meeting is short due to others waiting. Before they leave they are handed a gift a new amulet. They are guided and there they see hundreds of god and Horus and Isis at the front.
Horus offers Carter his power, but the offer is turned down. He walks off and claims the throne. They awake in the morning to find the mansion completely fixed. Amos tells them how he will go seek aid for the damage he endured. A familiar voice is heard, Bast. They drive to a school where they hide an amulet, waiting for the right people to find it. The book ends with the recording of the saying that they will be waiting.
