They accept their fate and will die knowing they did all they could. They go across the field as the soldiers get ever closer. One throws a knife but John forfends it. The beast is closing in on him, close enough to where they can see it.
John begins to speak to the beast, trying to convince it to kill the Mogodorians instead, as they were the ones who inflicted harm upon it. The beast listens and changes target. It hunts them down until the gunshots are silenced.
Henri is in an extremely critical condition. His face is soaked in his own blood. John holds his ‘’Father’’ in his arms, as he feels him begin to leave. Henri tells John that everything is in the Loric Chest. The letter will explain everything.
With that his Cepan, Henri passes in John arms. John weeps over his friend’s body. The father figure in John’s life has now left this Earth. He lies on the floor and his vision is blurry.
A scout approaches. He unsheathes a blade. He nears and is ready to kill. The scout is stabbed in the chest and is reduced to nothing more than ash. John has a memory of his life back on his home planet, Lorien.
A man walks up to the house and knocks. He enters and goes to the backyard. He is introduced to his Cepan, Brandon. He awakens from a sweat.
John opens his eyes and sees his girlfriend on the bed beside him. She kisses him and he has no idea where he is. Sarah tells John they are at a motel. She tells him the events of the prior night and how they came here through Sam’s driving.
Number Four asks about Six. Six has survived, though she suffered many wounds. Sarah shows John that Bernie Kosar is still alive and has many wounds, a reminder of the night’s battle. Sarah communicates, saying Mark was heaving John.
Sarah hands John an envelope. He tears it open to find the many ID’s, passports etc. John talks to Six, Mark and Sam. Six asks John how they will treat Henri’s body. He decides on cremation upon Six’s suggestion.
They hold a funeral out in the wood. John says his final goodbyes and with that said, they set fire to his body. They all cry and mourn, especially John. They collect the ashes into a coffee container.
John, Six and Sam put their personal effects into the car. John says his final farewells. He goes over and tells Mark how he is extremely grateful and in debt to him for his service. John kisses Sarah one last time. He gets in to the vehicle and they drive off. John watches as they become obsolete in the window, until they are out of sight completely .
